Associated Terminals owns and operates an intermodal terminal in the Greater Baton Rouge area which can accomodate the efficient transfer of cargo between barge, truck and storage. The terminal is located on the Intracoastal Canal in Port Allen adjacent to the Port of Greater Baton Rouge located at mile 229 A.H.P. on the lower Mississippi River.
The facility is comprised of an 8.4 acre tract with 400 linear feet of water frontage for unloading barges. The terminal features a 30,000 square foot storage warehouse, on-site truck scale, and all of the unloading and conveying equipment to expedite discharge. The facility also has significant outside cargo lay-down capacity. A new 12,500 square foot warehouse along with dock upgrades are scheduled for completion in 2013.
