While many organizations and companies across the United States have “cut” capital spending, Associated Terminals has taken a different approach. The company has taken the position that now is the time to reinvest in equipment while the market is slow. Associated Terminals’ long-term philosophy to buy new equipment will position the company to meet and exceed their customer’s expectations when the business environment changes.
One specific example of this philosophy is the purchase of new front end loaders. Although the floating cranes are the “muscle” that moves the tons, front end loaders play an integral part in making sure the floating cranes have full buckets of cargo when completing a vessel or hopper barge.
These loaders come with sealed and enclosed wiring systems to prevent corrosion caused by the elements and cargoes. As a result, AT’s floating cranes will be more efficient and cost effective.
These loaders are fitted with a centralized display and switch panel for quick viewing of the status and condition of the machine. “Easy to read” gauges on the instrument panel provide constant and accurate information at all times. All of these loaders come with a Tier III low emission certificated engine and can operate in 2 modes, power and economy.
Coupling these loaders with the new Gottwald cranes, Associated Terminals can assure their customers the most effective, cost efficient and safe cargo transfers.
